Airtel has launched the first 4G service of India.For now 4G service is launched in Kolkata only but soon Airtel will launch it in Bangalore.Other states have to wait for sometime to enjoy the this fastest internet service.
Airtel 4G services are priced from Rs 999 per month to Rs.1999 per month for a download datat of 6 to 9gb.
Airtel Bharti and its rivals had paid a total of 385.43 billion rupees to buy 4G spectrum in 2010.These companies have paid a large amount to buy spectrum so there is no hope of cheaper price plans in 4G service.Prices may be slashed to a little extent after launch of 4G service by other companies.
What is 4G ?
Just like 3G, 4G is short form of fourth generation.In simple words the 4G service will provide more fast internet speed than its predecessor 3G internet service.Downloading speed will be nearly 5 times faster than the 3G internet.Existing 3G services allow users to download data at max 21 mbps (megabyte per second) while 4G gives a download speed of up to 100 mbps.

4G will allow users faster download as well as fast uploading of files.

Google is working on the new desert-themed update "Key Lime Pie" for its mobile operating system Android. The new update of Android will be available to consumers next year. The code name of most recently released version of android system is "Ice Cream Sandwich". It was released in October alongside the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the latest in Google's own flagship line of handsets, which it uses to promote major updates to Android. Android's first version, Ice Cream Sandwich was designed to work on both smartphones and tablets. An earlier release, code named "Honeycomb" had created separate software for each class of device. Google is also expected to introduce a version of Android called "Jelly Bean". Lets see when these updates will be available for users.Hope to get these updates soon.........

DataWind, the Canadian company that is manufacturing Aakash, has started the online booking and pre booking of the much anticipated low cost Android tablet. Online booking is for students' version of the tablet and pre booking is for UbiSlate 7, the upgraded version of Aakash.

Students' version of Aakash will be available for Rs 2,500 and will be delivered in seven days. The commercial version, UbiSlate 7 is priced at Rs 2,999. The payment mode for both the tablets is cash on delivery.

The commercial version of Aakash tablet will be powered by Android 2.3 and will have a resistive touchscreen, Cortex A8-700 MHz processor and graphics accelerator HD video processor, 256 MB of RAM and 2 GB of internal memory.

Other specifications are a one standard USB port, 3.5 mm audio jack, a 7 inch display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution, resistive touchscreen, GPRS and WiFi support.

"The improved version of Aakash tablet will be available in retail outlets by January end," a spokesperson of DataWind told The Mobile Indian.

The tablet was to be made available in retail stores by the end of November. "The delay in the availability of the tablet has been due to upgradation in the tablet and some unforeseen delay in manufacturing," the spokesperson said.

To book and prebook student and commercial versions respectively of Aakash tablet, users have to visit DataWind's website and fill up the required form. In case of booking they will get a booking ID and a message which will state, "You will shortly receive an email confirmation from our support team with further details."

In case of pre booking users will get a confirmation message which will state, "The commercial version of the Akash UbiSlate 7 would be launched in early weeks of December. After the commercial launch we would get in touch with you to deliver your device as soon possible."

As a matter of fact, the confirmation message a reader will see is factually incorrect as The mobile Indian had reported earlier the Aakash tablet will be available only by January end.

Datawind has however not cleared how it is going to establish the identity of students who will book the cheapest version of Aakash tablet. When The Mobile Indian contacted spokesperson of Datwind he said, "Anyone can book the student version of Aakash tablet."

This defeats the purpose of providing students an affordable tablet as now anyone can place an order to get the tablet. Interestingly, now it has been revealed that the government has procured only 10,000 Aakash tablets for distribution in schools and colleges of the initial 1 lakh proposed.

It looks like the company was in a hurry to start the online booking process and has not done not proper homework before staring it.

Google has announced its new social network site Google+.The Internet search engine introduced Google+ social network for what it called 'real-life sharing.'Google said its social network will meet the most basic human needs to connect with others.
For now Google+ is available by invitation only.

Sony Pictures Hacked - 1,000,000 Passwords Stolen


Sony troubles are continuing with this latest hack.This time sonypictures.com is hacked by Lulz Securities.Lulz Securities claims to stole the personal information of over 1,000,000 users from sonypictures.com


Lulz claims the hack was performed with a simple SQL injection - just like before sony website was hacked.Hacked data was posted online which contains email and password of more than 50,000 Sony Picture users.In addition to user information, the group has blurted out over 20,000 Sony music coupons, and the admin database (including email addresses and passwords) for BMG Belgium employees.

While Sony is working on Restoration of Playstation network,this hack is surley going to increase the touble of Sony's IT department.Faith of users in Sony is compromised again.Sony may loose a large number of its online customers after this series of Hacks.

Google Updated AdSense Policy

Google has silently updated it AdSense policy.AdSense is a revenue sharing program that helps Blogger and website owners to make money online.
This change is going to affect a large number of blogs and websites.With new policy update now you can't put AdSense ads in iFrame.

The updated AdSense policy says

"AdSense code may not be altered, nor may the standard behavior, targeting or delivery of ads be manipulated in any way that is not explicitly permitted by Google. This includes but is not limited to the following: clicking Google ads may not result in a new browser window being launched, nor may Google ads be placed in an IFRAME."

You can find this update in Google adsense policy page under Ad Behavior heading.
 Google has always discouraged the use of iFrame for ads serving stating that it cause trouble in  displaying targeted ads or PSAs.

If you are using AdSense ads in iFrame than you need to modify your site code and use new embed code within your content.Otherwise get ready for horror email from Google which will say "Your AdSense account is disabled".
